Welcome to
Ashwood Vets
We're an independent, community-focused veterinary practice dedicated to delivering exceptional care to you and your pet.
Over the years, the community has welcomed us, and we've grown together, building a team that reflects the values of kindness, professionalism and true partnership in pet care.
At Ashwood, your pet isn't just another patient — they're part of our extended family. We'd love to meet you both.

Our story
When Rebecca and I decided to start a veterinary practice, we were convinced we could build a practice that offered a really personal and caring service and which we hoped the community would support. We purchased our building in the middle of Dundonald and founded Ashwood, opening our doors in December 2009.
In those early days, we slept upstairs (in an area which is now the blanket-drying room) and during the day, our daughter, 5 months old, sat on the reception desk in her baby seat. Our team consisted of Rebecca and me, our first nurse, Claire and our beloved Norma, who was an Ashwood stalwart for 10 years, before she retired.
The community did support us and our practice has grown, delivering exceptional veterinary care in the heart of Dundonald. Our team has grown too, over the years. Grown with new team members, yes, but also personal growth, as we have worked together with all the wonderful clients and pets who are now members of our Ashwood family.
Every one of our team upholds our practice values, with teamwork that is second to none, to provide a uniquely caring and professional service. Being part of a team that is committed to excellent veterinary care and the personal, caring service we set out to build from the beginning, is a privilege.
We would love you to join our practice, and we would love to meet your furry family members. You can book an appointment right here.

“I went to Ashwood Vets in Dundonald. From the counter staff to the vets where so lovely. After lots of cuddles with my new pup, they took him out of the room for his 1st jab, which I thought was such a lovely thing to do. Would highly recommend them x Annette Scott”
